Dr. Yetunde Aladeitan is a distinguished leader in the engineering sector, renowned for her integrated expertise across academia, industry, and professional governance. A Fellow of both the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE), her extensive academic foundation includes a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, an MSc in Oil and Gas Engineering from Robert Gordon University (Scotland), and a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the African University of Science and Technology, Abuja. With a career spanning over 26 years, Dr. Aladeitan has held significant roles that reflect her multifaceted contributions. As an Associate Professor of Petroleum Engineering and Director of the Energy Research Centre at the University of Abuja, she advances both education and applied research. She extends her academic influence as a part-time lecturer in Petroleum Engineering at Baze University and the African University of Science and Technology. In parallel, she provides strategic industry leadership as Managing Consultant at Klensfield Environmental Services Limited and NOVASPIRE Energy, advising key stakeholders on environmental compliance and sustainable practices within the oil and gas sector. Her earlier industry experience includes a tenure as a Process Engineer at Amazon Energy Limited, where she contributed to major projects for ExxonMobil and the Nigerian Gas Company, specializing in pipeline design, safety analysis, and process optimization. Dr. Aladeitan is also a pivotal figure in professional engineering institutions. She currently serves as the National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers (NIPetE), steering strategic initiatives for the profession's advancement in Nigeria. Her governance roles include active membership on the review and verification committee of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Chairmanship of the Engineering Manpower and Occupation Committee of the NSE, and participation in the NSE’s National Budget Monitoring Committee. An accomplished researcher, she has authored numerous publications focused on reservoir optimization, enhanced oil recovery, and sustainable energy solutions.
