Engr. Prof Adeola Grace Olugbenga MNSE
National Treasurer
Prof. Olugbenga is a Professor at the faculty of engineering, University of Abuja. She has obtained her first and second degree at Federal University of Technology Minna in years 2000 and 2008 respectively. Her Ph.D was on advanced experimental of the sandstone, awarded by University of Leeds- United Kingdom in 2016. Her primary research interest is in the area of characterizing sedimentary rocks, including modeling and simulation, as well as separator simulations and retort development for industrial surface facilities. She also do experiments to support her simulation at micro-scale. She performs a number of inter-disciplinary research projects included in the area of micro-cracks in sandstone and stress transmission, using particle flow code and MatLab as computational tools. Hence, she has achieved both simulation and experimental hybrid procedures in her development of porous sandstone research. Crowned with an award in the oil and Gas research in Qatar 2014. She has obtained the prestigious best paper award in 2020 on fluid flow in porous media in springer. This springs from her exemplary research in computational drilling of her Ph.D research and she has made several publications in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. She has mentored many younger engineers and she is still mentoring engineers willing to excel in the oil and gas sector of the economy Her research has been presented in academy of science and has gained recognition and consideration in today’s industry.
