Fikona Temiagin Ovie is a seasoned professional with a strong multidisciplinary background spanning chemical engineering, project management, Nigerian Content development, and data science. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos. She is a COREN-registered engineer and a certified Project Management Practitioner (PRINCE2) and Risk Management Practitioner (M_o_R). Fikona currently serves as a Senior Nigerian Content Coordinator Specialist with Sterling Exploration and Energy Company Limited, where she has played a key role in regulatory compliance, contractor engagement, and stakeholder coordination in line with NCDMB requirements. Her professional experience also includes engagements with Amazon Energy, NLNG, and SEPCO, contributing to projects that align local capacity development with operational efficiency. In addition to her core engineering and compliance expertise, Fikona has expanded her skill set into data science, earning certifications from ALX and ExploreAI South Africa. She has applied analytical and modeling skills to initiatives such as the Eco Economy Data Collection, Analysis, and Modeling project for the Lagos State Government. She is an active member of APWEN and has contributed to professional conferences through panel and committee service.
